Congratulations to former Pike Tennis Association Player, who Graduated from Dartmouth in 2005 for an Outstanding Tennis and Academic Career.

Jayme Ahmed, daughter of Naseer and Susan Ahmed of the Tri-state area near Milford, PA and former Pike Tennis Association League player, recently graduated Dartmouth College, where she broke three school records in tennis.

Ahmed captained the Big Green’s NCAA Division I Women’s Tennis Team this season. Her three school records included getting most total career wins, with 135, breaking by three Sarita Yardi’s record set in 2002. The team finished the season at 13-8 3-4) in Ivy League competition. She was ranked as high as 49 nationally in doubles and 100 in singles. 

Ahmed's total of 48 wins (22 singles and 26 doubles) this season and her 72 career singles wins also broke school records and she tied the school record for most doubles wins in one season, with 26. 

Ahmed was voted the team Most Valuable Player for the third straight year, finishing this season in the East Regional doubles rankings at the 10 spot and 12 in singles.

For the second straight year Ivy League coaches were unanimous in voting her All-Ivy singles. She lost only one match in Ivy competition this season. She also was named to the first All-Ivy team in doubles.

Ahmed also was named to the ITA Scholar Athlete team with a cumulative grade point average of over 3.5.

Ahmed played in the Eastern Pennsylvania Middle States USTA Pike Tennis Association League in the early 1990's with her mother Susan.
