NORTHWOOD RACQUET & FITNESS CLUB 

Holds special events and tournaments year round, such as the following held on Thanksgiving weekend. 

• Northwood Racquet and Fitness Club 9-11 Fundraiser

On November 17, after 9-11-02, Northwood Racquet and Fitness Club hosted a USTA family party to benefit the children of the tragic event of September 11. Activities included: tennis, racquetball, walleyball, basketball, raffles and competitive games for prizes.

The entry fee was $10.00 and included a huge buffet of donated food, drink and court time. Approximately 125 people attended and a great time was had for a great cause.

The funds raised were for the Twin Towers Orphan Fund, the organization which is going to provide long-term educational care for the children orphaned by the tragic air attacks on September 11.

Northwood Racquet and Fitness Club won the "Club of the Year" award for the year 2001, and it’s no surprise. Once again, club owner and manager, Kathy Carbone has reached out to the community and gone above and beyond in helping out. Kudos to Northwood and Kathy and staff for their great service to the community.
