Princeton Tennis Introduces Wheelchair Tennis at April 2002 "Free for All."

Gwen Guidice arranged a great opportunity to demonstrate wheelchair tennis at Princeton Tennis Program's "Free for All" program in April. Demonstrators showed the sport to a group of 50+ interested Princeton area tennis players.  

One of the event highlights was having able bodied players playing from a chair. The event was a treat even for young kids who shoed great enthusiasm. Everyone saw that those in wheelchairs could have fun and could also be very athletic.

The following wheelchair athletes participated in the demo:

Mark Chilutti (Philadelphia, PA), Ruth Harrigan (Princeton, NJ), John Kistner (Lansdale, PA), Janet Lardear (Wilmington, PA), Larry Soular (Yardley, PA), and Felix Suero (Franklin Park, NJ).

This was the first time that the group put on a wheel chair demo and everyone agreed it was a great experience for the Princeton group.
