The Pleasant Valley Tennis Association
Tennis, anyone! The Pleasant Valley Tennis Association recently held its annual event during which lessons were given over three weekends at the Pleasant Valley School District tennis courts. This year over 100 children and some adults participated. Mary Jane Arner began the event years ago with the idea of promoting community recreation through the sport of tennis for anyone ages 6 to 80. It is a low cost program, which offers instruction for beginner and intermediate players. $2000.00 generated from this program was donated to the Western Pocono Community Library. Special thanks to Northwood Racquet Club and their teaching staff for helping make this event a tremendous success. For information on next year’s event, contact Mary Jane Arner at 570-992-4539.
