Thank you for doing your part to grow the game of tennis through your USA Team Tennis programs! 2003 marked another successful year in the USTA/Middle States Section for increasing participation in this program. Through your efforts as site directors, you have introduced over 42,000 participants to tennis in the Middle States section.

As a site director of a 2003 officially registered USA Team Tennis site, USTA/Middle States would like to invite you to reconfirm your registration for 2004. Please confirm your interest on the enclosed site form, so that we may provide you with a sufficient supply of materials for your program.

In 2004, TennisLink will be the new registration system for USA Team Tennis. This program offers ease in scheduling, league scoring, and an opportunity to track players throughout the year. Another benefit of this registration process will be the opportunity for these teams to participate in district, sectional, regional, and national championships. A $2.00 user fee per player will be charged with TennisLink. Site directors are encouraged to include this fee in their program charge for each participant, or to encourage each player to register individually into their local progam. (Organized sports such as baseball and soccer currently use a similar registration process.) More information regarding TennisLink will be available as soon as it is finalized. Should your program choose not to participate in TennisLink, program grants will be available from the section, but limited and chosen on a case by case basis.

Area League Coordinator stipends will be provided this year based on the number of teams in the league that register via TennisLink. Please keep in mind, that this is the last year that incentives will be offered and it will only be given to youth and collegiate programs in the section. A tentative scale of stipends is listed below.
